When describing Janet Scott, many will use the words "caring," "reliable" and "compassionate." Janet has applied these attributes to her more than 30 years of legal experience. With Bailey Zobel Pilcher, she concentrates in the areas of estate planning, special needs trusts, Medicaid planning, guardianships, probate, family limited partnerships and corporate law.

Janet was born and raised in Dover, Delaware and always knew she wanted a career in the legal field. Upon graduating from the University of Delaware, Janet moved to Miami, Florida. She was then transferred to Orlando in 1990 to open the Maitland branch office of a Fort Lauderdale-based law firm.

Janet resides in Longwood, Florida with her husband of more than 30 years and their two children. Janet is active in her church choir and enjoys reading and music. She is also a NASCAR and University of Central Florida football fan and looks forward to cruising to the beach in her classic convertible. Both she and her husband also enjoy spending time with the numerous family members residing in the Central Florida area.

Janet has attained Florida Registered Paralegal status from the Florida Bar and is also a member of the Central Florida Paralegal Association.
