With five business degrees, a CPA certification, and nearly two decades of business experience under my belt
before I started practicing solely as an attorney, it never occurred to me that many people -- many lawyers
-- do not consider a law firm to be a business. Yes, attorneys are members of a profession, and a law firm
is a professional practice... but a law firm is a business with employees, and payroll, and taxes, and billing,
and cash flow issues, just like any other business. Merrell Bailey November 24th, 2009
